    Hello,

I plan on purchasing a dell xps m1330, but I would like to order it with the standard cpu t5250, and upgrade it later myself, I would like to know if this is possible, and if anyone could point in the direction of a good tutorial?

Also would it be possible to order it with the x3100 intergrated graphics, an upgrade to a better video card later, if so could you point me in the direction of a good tutorial for this as well?

It is possible to upgrade the CPU, but it will void the warranty. Which means that you can't fix your laptop (for free) if it breaks.

In 99% of laptops, you can't upgrade the graphics card. While you can do it in some dells, since yours has a integrated card, you can't.

Actually, if you buy the upgraded processor from Dell and allow them to follow you along as you install it by phone, the warranty is good.

But they overcharge you. Because they're dell.

Great, I didn't plan on upgrading the CPU until the warranty was up anyway, I just don't have the funds rite now to purchase this computer with CPU and memory I want. I'm not to worried about the video card because most likely I will never play a game on it anyway.
