i'm planning to get the new thinkpad x200. i do need some kind of docking solution so i can go from desktop to laptop with ease with the same machine.
which is the better option?
1. thinkpad ultrabase with dvdrw?
2. some kind of port replicator with some kind of usb dvdrw drive?
what can i expect to spend on this? what kinds of ports can i get? is there even one that works with the x200?
are there makes/models you can recommend?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
another concern is i have read here that some people have had trouble with the thinkpad ultrabase--is it true that you have to power down to load or unload the laptop? i want it to be "plug and play" (right term?)
anyone know?
ultrabase or port replicator?
