    Hi
FIrst timer here. I have an oldish Samsung NP550P7C laptop which i have recently upgraded to a 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM. Amazing improvement on the day to day use as a work laptop.

But i wanted to get into gaming using my Xbox account, but struggling to run and games of a decent size. Recently downloaded Forza Horizon and after playing for 10 mins the laptop gets very hot and starts lagging slighlty.

When playing foprtnight the power pack got so hot it blew and i had to replace it. Now i can only play for 10-20 mins at a time before i get paranoid and switch it off.

Been looking at upgrading the graphics card and read somehwere my laptop does have external one that can be upgraded? Can anyone shed light on this? As i also read that laptops Graphocs card cant be changed....

Also i have seen the proper External GPU boxes with fan power etc. But they are epensive...

Am i just best off buying a used Xbox One S or something on ebay?

Yes. If your notebook has a PCI-Express WiFi card, it might be possible to run an eGPU with it. However, for what it would cost in time and money, you could buy either an Xbox as you mentioned, or a whole new notebook with a GeForce GTX 1050, 1050Ti, or 1060, which would run circles around the machine you currently own. It all depends on how much money you want to spend.
