    Depends on the notebook.

    I know things, things that could get me killed

    Thinkpad T41:
    * 1.6Ghz Pentium M * 768Mb Memory * 40Gb Hitachi 7200RPM * Panasonic UJ-845-B DVD+RW *

    i have fujitsu siemens, a european model. I have been having problems recently, it re boots automatically in the middle of my work. I sent an error report to microsoft, they suggested i upgrade my bios. I have downloaded an iso image file of the new bios driver from the company's website.

    now, how do i go about installing it?

    thanks

    on the asus site they give you a utility that works in windows xp, you just tell the utility where the image of the new bios is and it will do the rest. very easy to flash, only takes like 1 min.. that including the reboot

    -->Asus M6BNe | Pentium M 1.6GHz Dothan | 1024MB PC2700 Micron Ram | Radeon 9700 Pro 64MB | 80GB Samsung 5400 RPM 8MB Cache | Gigabit LAN | CDRW + DVD Combo |
    -->Compal CL56 | Pentium M 1.6GHz Dothan | 1024MB Ram | Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB | 60GB HDD | 10/100 LAN | DVDRW |

    pr5owner, could you please give me a direct link to that utility you mentioned?

    No, I spent sometime surfing at Fujitsu-Siemens's website but was unable to find further information on how to update the BIOS.

    thanks

    A *.iso is a CD image. So just burn it on a CD and reboot! Of course you need to make sure that your Bios will boot into CD and HDD (boot priority).
