    upgrade sampron 64 to turion

    i have asus a6tc with sampron64 cpu. can i upgrade it to a turion64 cpu?

    Yeah, that upgrade is definately possible. I assume that it is a socket S1 based Sempron since you mentioned it being 64 bit. If so, then you can upgrade to a dual core Turion TL series or the single core Turion Mk-36. Make sure you have the latest BIOS available for the laptop. The system should be fully compatible with the Turion X2 considering Asus sells the A6 with them.
