Hi, I got a dell 9300, formatted the c: and installed xp pro from a licensed disc. I downloaded relevant drivers from dells website, (looking them up from my service tag #), and put them in the drivers folder at C:\windows\system32 but still my peripherals aren't working (dvd, wireless internet). Is this the wrong drivers folder or something? Thanks.
PS no unique display driver is recommende for my model (which do i choose out of 10 when I don't know my display model? ).

    1. did you install the drivers or just download them to a folder? it doesn't matter what folder you download them to, they need to be 'installed'

    2. the display drivers are for external monitors, not your notebook's LCD.

You need to install the packages. Go double click on each one to start the process.

Just so you won't be surprised, it will ask you if you want to create several folders. It does this because it installs each driver in its own folder.

Normally, it will create a Dell folder on your C: Drive, then it will create an individual folder in side of the Dell folder for each driver. Of course you can specify it to go somewhere else.
