i have been looking into a hp zv6000 and i was wondering how upgradeable it was i would want to get a new video card, ram,HD, and soundcard maybe a couple of months after i bought it. can i do that ???

Not to be mean or anything, but laptops are NOT desktops. You can't just swap hardware components as you will.
In just about every laptop you will find, the sound card and video card will be built into the motherboard. Video cards can be upgraded, but don't expect to be able to do so with major OEMs (Dell, HP, Gateway, Sony).
CPUs can be upgraded but void your warranty on the spot. The same technically with any overclocking.
Hard drives and RAM are easily upgradeable and the hardware manual for your laptop should be easily available.
I would strongly recommend filling out the FAQ as it looks like you really want the zv6000, but don't see it meeting your needs later on. I would never recommend buying a laptop for reasons farther into the future(64-bit capability, dual-core, etc..) as usually when it is mainstream, technology will be much better then and you would rather wait. -
Yeah, buy what you want now, because most of it just ain't upgradeable.

It might be...but I'd ask this in the HP forum for those who are specifically familiar with that machine.
Also...video..even if it is upgradeable...only count on specific upgrades currently available. There's no marketwide standardization yet that you can count on to be continually available. -
HD - Yes
Video card - No
CPU - Yes, but you will have to open up the whole chassis.
Sound card - enternal sound card is possible. Internal ones probably not.
DVD/CD drives - Upgradable, but inmost cases the front bezel(face plates) wont match. -
The best page for ZV6000/R4000 is www.notebookanalysis.com
...but the questions you asked were already answered here. -
well ladies and jellyspoons (stole this line from eddie izzard O
) almost every single thing is upgradable even on a laptop BUT
A) you need balls
B) a soldering iron with 500$ bucks in bits (each chip n such need s a special sized bit to solder/desolder all pins at once to prevent brakes
C) ALL of the specs for ALL the components that you will be playing with
D) Laser printer
E) Ti-89 or above
F) knowledge about circuitry and the way it works
G) CAD software (or paint like me when im lazy)
H) some extra $$$
I) plenty of time
...no wonder its rare to see things like these
upgradeable???
