    i have a inspiron 7500 dell. Can I upgrade to a dvd drive and if so, do i need to upgrade the processor and the video card

    I doubt you need to upgrade anyghing else, but what kind of video card do you have in your 7500?

    You would not have to upgrade anything but the drive. While you are at it, I would get a CDRW/DVD combo drive. I am unsure if the drive's form-factor is proprietary or not. No optical drives seem to be available for this model on Dell spare parts, but see what you can arrange over the phone.
