    I heard that you can upgrade the hardware in dells mainly the graphic card which i dont plan on doing because i've seen the threads and they look like hell. other than the ram, what else can you upgrade? i read somewhere that you can upgrade the harddrive too. anyone have a thread on how to do that? thanks

    RAM, HDD, and CPU will be upgradeable. The GPU will only be upgradeable if Dell ever offers the 1520 with a better graphics card, because the GPUs in Dell machines are Dell designed and built by Dell only for Dell.

    to remove the hard drive, there are 4 screws under the bottom left palm rest (that look like hard drive symbols). unscrew those, slide the hard drive out. remove the mount and adapter and slide the adapter on the new sata 2.5" hard drive, slide it back in the hard drive and screw the 4 screws back in. extremely easy...

    wonderful, how do you know if the RAM or HARDDRIVE is compatabile with your laptop? (dell)
