I have a Tecra 8100 Laptop with pentium3 processor, its slow as it only has 128mb Ram, I want to run windows XP on it! can it be upgraded to 256 or better still 512mb and will it make a noticeable difference?

Yes, you can upgrade it to 512MB (max) and the difference will be really noticeable.

Indeed you can upgrade to 512 max, you will need PC100 type of memeory but be warned about availablity, you most likely to buy them onlnie, rather then going to the stores.

Also note that PC100 memory is quite expensive, but yes it will definitely make a huge difference in performance.
