Hey I'm purchasing a clevo off of Malibal.

It comes with an integrated 2.0MP webcam. Most laptop webcams aren't that impressive, and I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade it to a 720p version like the one that comes in an msi? I've opened up a laptop before and it doesn't seem like it would be hard to do a swap, but I don't know if it requries different cables or whatever.

Anyone wanna educate me on this subject?

I did a search, found no real relative information.

Alot of times webcams are part of the display LVDS connector. Also specific drivers are a real pain as many manufacturers use OEM webcams (Lite-On, etc). I would say do some research on the separate cable ones.

Full HD is barely 2.5 MP.

There are loads of factors that go into image quality and there are different factors for still images vs full-motion video. Mega-pix are probably the least among them......

So what's the "best" in current standards for webcams (integrated or otherwise)?
