i have a Hp Pavilion dv9014ea bought in Nov 2006. some weeks earlier i suddenly had an urge to upgrade the components

    Specs:
intel 945 chipset (or something like that)
    intel t7200 (2.0ghz)
    geforce 7600 graphics card.

searched google and according to the majority of the sites, upgrading of graphics card in this model is a no. however, hp's disassembly manual tells you how to remove the graphics card so im really confused about this.

also, i was thinking of upgrading my processor to a t9*** but i heard that its different size or something (45mm and 65mm) so it would not be compatible. also, the chipset is 965 and mine is 945.

so, is it possible to even upgrade anything on my computer?? it is the same size as dv9000-dv9600 series. im willing to change the entire motherboard and everything so that next time it is easier to upgrade. thanks1

The graphics card is soldered to the board.

You cannot upgrade the chipset either, those are soldered in and the designs are different between generations.

The processor upgrade options, a T7400 or T7600, are your only (expensive and not worth it) choices.

The only thing you can really upgrade is your memory and your harddrive.
As Greg mentioned you will only be able to upgrade your cpu to a T7400 or T7600, which are both extremely expensive and not really worth it upgrade wise.
Your gpu is an integrated nvidia gpu, and it is not removable. Hp's manual is wrong.
You can upgrade your harddrive to a newer 320gb 7200rpm drive or a high density 5400rpm drive in order to increase performance and decrease load times. Upgrading to 2 or more gb of memory can also be done, so it may be worth while to upgrade your memory if you have less than 1gb of it

To add in, 3gb is the max ram your notebook supports
