    everynow and then ill se a sale for laptops for under $500, would it be worth getting one and upgrading?? and what else can I upgrade besides the ram and HD??


    how about the processor?

    To be honest, this situation is is tuff. You can find a cheapo and upgrade especially with CPU. But unless you buy the right notebook and know what you are doing sometimes better to let the MFG do it for you.

    well with a low end CPU would it even be worth it to upgrade the ram or HD? for performance.

    the laptop im using now is a t61 t8300 2.4 ghz, 3 gb ram, 120 gb 5400 rpm hardrive
