My sister was given a Toshiba Satellite 1115-s107. She bought an after market optical drive cause she wanted a burner. I looked online and can't find anywhere that tells me how to switch the drives. Can anyone help me or send me to someone who can?

I'm assuming she bought an internal and not an external drive...
did she buy an upgrade/replacement drive from toshiba? If so, it should be fairly simple. On the bottom of the machine, there should either be a screw or a lock switch or something right about where the drive would end inside the machine. Usually you simply flick the switch or take out the screw and the drive will slide out. If she didn't buy one from toshiba, there's a chance it may not fit at all... they are not always universal... -

I'm uncertain whether Toshibas of this age are compatible with universal drives. It might be a good idea to contact toshiba support to ask them about this issue. You can find their number under the support tab on the toshiba website.
When in windows, have a look to see if the add or remove hardware icon is in the bottom right of your screen by the clock at all times. If it is, see if the drive is listed as a removable piece of hardware. If it is you should be able to remove it with a spring-loaded sliding switch on the bottom. If not it will have to be unscrewed.
The screws are likely located on the bottom of the machine but there may be some under the keyboard too. If there are some screws directly under the drive try unscrewing them first and see if the drive will move. If not, then I'd suggest looking online for a service manual or dismantling guide.
