    what is the chipset provided for e1505 or inspiron 6400??
    if i take core duo for em,can i upgrade to core 2 duo later??

    They run on the same chipset, one is just a "cut down" version.

    They are fully interchangable tho.

    Yes, if you buy a computer with CD(yonah) you can upgrade it to a C2d(Merom) assuming you can get access to the cpu compartment. You might need to get a BIOS update to support the C2D though.
