My new comuputer does not have a serial port (i know vary few do now) and I got a Belkin usb-to-serial port cable. I installed the drivers and every thing works but its way slow.. to down load a small program with my old computer with a serial port it would take 3-5 min with this thing it takes like 30 min.... I checked my port setting and all, and everything is the same (9600 ) my question is are these things just that slow? I was expecting it to be about the same speed. please help....![]()

I hear the iogear usb to serial is the best usb adapter. I have read of problems with people using the belkin.
