(Sorry for the typo in the title, it's 8760w, not 8670w.)

    Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone has a vbios for the Quadro K4000M that they can confirm works with the HP Elitebook 8760w. I've seen plenty of people post that they are running this combination, but no one has posted the bios used.

My laptop recognizes the card, the bios shows that it reads the video bios, it will output to the VGA port, and windows shows the card--but, no matter what I do it will NOT output to the laptop monitor. If I put back in the old card, it shows up on the laptop monitor instantly. Also, Windows does not recognize that there is any display except the one connected to the VGA port.

Just want to give this one more good shot before sending the card back.

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the initial typo, it's 8760w, not 8670w. Work leaves me unable to brain some days.

where did you get the card? anything else weird about it?

i MIGHT have the original QS vBIOS from my card, not that theres any reason it would help. i currently have a 80.04.0B.00.08 vBIOS on my card if you'd like to try it. but i'd guess if you post in the HP 8760w owners lounge, you should be able to get a different HP vBIOS easily.

if your card is a dell or unbranded then i'd guess the HP vBIOS would fix it, if it's just a funny card (for example, QS or ES with 2gb RAM) then you might be out of luck. but no harm in trying!

I posted in the 8760w owners lounge. Never got a response regarding a vbios for the card.

It's a Dell. I'd be willing to try the bios you have if you wouldn't mind posting it. Otherwise I'm sending the card back tomorrow. There's nothing else weird about it, it works fine if I connect a vga monitor, but when it's hooked up my laptop will not output to the built in monitor under any circumstances. I put back in the old card and everything works fine again, so I know it isn't the cable.

sure thing, do you need a NVflash command line dump of the vbios? if so, it might take me a few days. otherwise, you can try this GPUZ dump.

I gave it a try, same issue. The laptop reads the card, it will boot, windows reads it, but with the card in it doesn't pick up the laptop screen.

Perhaps my laptop just doesn't like the k4000m. Thanks for trying. :)
