    can someone please tell the benefits of having a higher ram video card besides gaming?
    photos are pictures depended on ram and CPU right?
    what about autocad?

    Video RAM is mainly beneficial in texturing during rendering in games mostly.

    Some DCC (digital content creation) programs might take advantage of that as well.

    But for general use and Photoshop work, the system RAM is more important for memory paging.

    The CPU does not really play a role in much, unless if there is heavy number crunching required, like in audio/video conversions or picture rendering from adding effects and such.
