want to switch my lap top screen ..

hey guys i have a dell xps m-1710 .. and my current monitor is a 17 inch 1920 x 1200 ress monitor ..

my graphics card cant take the 1200 P monitor no more so i have to run at low resses and it gets stretched out to the point of balhh .. anyways .. i found out that alien ware's m17 lap top has a 17 inch monitor that allows you to select a 1440 x 900 monitor or a 1920 x 1200 monitor before purchase

so i figured since its a 17 inch .. can i buy there 1440 x 900 ress monitor and stick it in my lap top and it will work .. is the connnector the same as in mine ??

 

If you buy a 1440 x 900 display specific to the M1710, it should work just fine:

wow thanks !!!! .. i didnt know they had 1 for my model .. when i was on there web site to buy it the only option they gave was the 1920 x 1200 .. thanks so much .. and wow i thought they would cost alot more
