    when i bought my laptop it came with this crappy "videoview" software, i was wondering if my integrated webcam can be used with other sofware and if so are there any good ones around

    yes you can use other software.
    That is, if your talking about the M570RU in your signature.
    I am pretty sure the M570RU shares the same webcam as the D900T/D900K. GO to sagers website and download the webcam driver for the Sager NP9750. It should work without a hitch. But if it doesnt work, I guess you are out of luck

    I have Cyberlink Youcam.

    Im not sure if it will work on yuor computer, but its a cool program. ;)

    You should be able to use any software you wish. Google Chat is pretty nice if you have gmail. So is Skype chat

    AFAIK all webcams are installed as standard video capture devices visible to any and all programs supporting video capture devices; ranging from instant messengers to DVR programs. try VirtualDub, its a free video editing/recording/conversion tool; has many interesting filters and will let you record directly in to any supported codec (installed on your computer).
