You will be able to upgrade the RAM and Hard drive.
You might be able to upgrade the Wireless card. -
CPU (Dangerous, volding warrenty)
Hard Drive
CD/DVD Drive
WIFI Card
and of course RAM.
I upgraded 4/5 items, except the CPU, because I dont want vold the warrenty and I dont want to get in deeper on my notebook.

Ok thanks, I suppose I might consider upgrading my CPU in the future because I only have a 1 year warranty.
Why would you need to upgrade the wireless card?
Also, is the graphics card upgradable? (jk) -
NO, the GPU is not upgradable.
-
For an example, you might have only a 802.11b and you can upgrade to 802.11g.

If you want a dual band card also. I would not touch the CPU, there is no reason to upgrade IMO. I would upgrade the RAM to at least 1 GB, and I would also get a 7200 RPM hard drive.

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822145005 -
No one's mentioned the battery yet. It's only got a 6-cell...can easily upgrade to 9 or 12 cell in the future.
I've seen this system for under $1000 before, I would wait to see if Dell comes out with one of those 25% or even 30% off online coupons. -

Hmm...I never knew that the battery was upgradable. Thanks for the heads up. Also, for the configuration I chose, I can get $200 off to make it $800. I wonder if it gets any cheaper than that.
PS: Dreamer, I had a jk next to that question! -

More RAM, at least 1gb then maybe the HDD.
-
PS: "jk" - a nice way to say something, didn't see it, sorry

Yeah, I actually did not buy this computer yet, but I will probably go with the highest non-upgradable stuff, and lowest upgradable stuff, because I will probably have more money in the future. Would any of the componants bottle-neck eachother as they are right now?
PS: Sorry about that dreamer lol
