got an Acer 5920G and I find that the audio spits and hisses on occasion, which is annoying as I'm used to the Audigy 2 I had with my AXP 2500+ desktop. are there good solutions to use via USB or express card slot or whatever it's called?![]()

this must be very new, as I can't find it on any CDN sites. I just put in a product request with NCIX tho...hopefully we'll see some action!
too bad Auzentech doesn't have an express card solution yet... -
I have a Turtle Beach Audio Micro USB. It definitely has an improvement over the stock sound card, and at the same time I can plug my speakers in the back USB port as apposed to the front.

I just purchased a Cretive XMod and impressed with the device. Since my notebooks speaker jack is located on the front of the machine its and I use a notebook cooler, its not always pratical to run a cable to the front of the computer. I needed another solution and the Creative XMod fits the bill.

It only has an option for sound output. But my speakers have a headphone jack that I can use, so I still don't have to use the front of the laptop.
what do you use for for sound? onboard or third-party solution?
