hi i am wondering what hard drive to upgrade by current drive to. Basically i am looking for the fastest notebook (44 pin, 2.5") hard drive that supports a pata interface. Cost and capacity are not an issue for me. So what is the fastest hard drive available?
    thanks

I don't think 7200rpm drives go above 100GB in pata, as I've only seen Seagate & Hitachi in that niche then. Some odd offbrands may exist, but reliability and cost may sour the deal.

so what ur saying is that the 5400rpm western digital will have equal performance to the 7k100? e.g. will it rate near enough the same on pcmark 05?
