quad core
is it better den dual core
what s the difference between dual and quad- core
and that is the difference between dx 10 and 9
how many of u got dx 10 card
-
Quad Core is basically two dual core processors rolled up into one, I think.
DX10 cards are yet to be released. -
Quad-Core can be much faster than a normal Dual core, but it all depends on what program you intend to use. When doing general taksks within Windows, like surfing the Internet and word processing, then there won't be much of a difference in speed. However, if you are doing heay rendering, and the program you are using is multicore capable, then rendering will be completed much faster than the dual core. This is because the program will exploit the speed of all four cores, and will use its combined speed. This is why there is a strive toward multicore processors.
Obviously, the technology in one core will continue to develop, because as the core number continues to rise, the heat produced will also rise. This is why Intel's Quad Core is so hot. It has a TDP of 130 Watts, which is pretty much the same as the power hungry P4. This is because all Intel have done, is stick two Conroes together, and have effectively ended up with a double dual core. It is similar to what they did with the Pentium D series. Two Pentium 4's were packaged onto one processor.
