    thinking about buying a laptop ....leaning towards the dell inspiron 1520....anyway what is the differecne between 2MB cache and 4MB cache?? what does cache do ??

    If you're doing a lot of processor intensive tasks like encoding, rendering, running programs like Matlab and Photoshop, then the larger cache size will come in handy. For general usage I doubt you will notice much of a difference between a 2MB and 4MB cache in a Core 2 Duo CPU.

    If you have the money, go for the T7300 CPU.
