I bought an HP DV6000t last September. I want to upgrade the RAM from 1GB to 2GB. What type of ram can I put in my laptop? What is the highest speed? And what variety?

Looks like like PC2 5300 DDR2 sodimm, 200 pin memory.

You could get CPU-Z and it will tell you what you have on board or do a little research and look for you laptop in the notebook reviews, here
