I woulden't want to sound like a complete noob, I wanted to buy an extra 1GB stick for my notebook, its a Satellite A100-237 which is a europian model found in this page :
http://za.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/productPage.do?PRODUCT_ID=114275#0
Im not 100% sure how many pinns should it take, I found two kinds which I dont remember honestly but it was like 157pinn and 200pinn or something. Im afraid of buying the wrong ram, So I thought I should ask.
Also they're kinda pricey, so if you could please link me to a good deal in newegg, amazon, I'd be grateful.

Your laptop takes DDR2 PC4200 (533Mhz) DDR2 RAM. It uses 200 pin DIMM's.

Actually that laptop has a T2400, so it will take up to DDR667 PC5400 RAM. I would get two matched sticks.

One more thing guys, I have bid on this ram here :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEBI:IT&viewitem=&item=140049235706&rd=1&rd=1
is it compatible, I have searched for the part number in the auction and it turned out to be desktop ram while he states in the auction its notebook ram.
Would anyone confirm this to me please. -
Hi from Spain!
I have a Toshiba Equium M50-216 and need to replace a faulty 512 mb memory module. This model has a Centrino processor and the chipset is Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS.910GML Express Chipset family, according to System Information.
I have done a Crucial on-line scan which says I require DDR PC2700, DDR333 Ram.
Having contacted another supplier they say that a 533 1GB DDR2 module is compatible, so that's what they sent me!
Are they right? I want to know before I unpack the box, so I can return it if it's wrong.
Thanks.

First, don't bring back threads from over a year ago.
And no. That is wrong. Your laptop will not work with DDR2 RAM. -
OOPs - sorry I did not notice the date of the last posting.
I just searched the forum for RAM questions.
Thanks for your answer though.
