looking at ssd's and i don't know what to get. even if i get a 256gig, i doubt by the time it's time to sell the 5160, resale value will be marginally better because in 2-3 years i'm sure we'll be seeing $1 per gig or better on the sdd prices. i've got about 90 gigs worth of stuff. that's trimmed down. i could make it about 100 gigs easy. i don't think 128 will be enough headroom, and the next sata III sdd is 256 gigs but i don't need that much. so i'm stuck with sata II, which is still very fast, and i'm looking at 160 gigs. what to do? looking at a little over $200 for 128 m4/c300/i320, and a little over $300 for an intel 320 160 gig. intel and crucial seem to offer the best reliability. m4 seems to be a little cheaper because of 25 nm nand. i'm not in a big rush to buy this, but need to get it done in the next month or so. got options? got suggestions? got free std's? i mean free sdd's?![]()

btw, i gotta keep the bd-rom drive in. need it. and two storage drives suck up battery faster than one storage and an idle optical drive.
probably getting a 128gig c300. waiting for the price to be right. $238 seems too high now. could get an m4 for $220 but the c300 has better randoms.
how come generally the price seems to more than double when comparing double the capacities? i.e. 64-128/$100-250 or 128-256/$220-$460. really trying hard to get a 256 gig c300 for about $400 and i see more than double the price of the $220 m4 and $238 c300. sucks the newer generation m4 is cheaper than the c300. makes comparison shopping a little more difficult.
what to do?
