    what video card is this?

    says AMD 109-C29657-10 as far as i know it's an HD6970m but, i wanted to know what bios it is and if that bios is compatible with the G73JH.

    From a Google search, it looks like that particular card was used on iMac (Apple) & Alienware (Dell) systems. It would be difficult to isolate the particular VBIOS version of the card without knowing which manufacturer it was originally designed for. If you know which system the video card in which you're interested is designed for, you can then look at forums or specs for the particular system and get the VBIOS version from that.

    If it's a vanilla MXM card and your G73JH fully supports MXM rev. 3, then it should work without issue. If not, it's anyone's guess if it would be compatible or not with your Asus.

    If that's what your saying it is, then it probably wont work in the G73...

    From the instructions, it looks like you only need an OS to initially download the DOS for the thumb drive. After you've made the drive and followed instructions, you should see screen input (Asus splash screen) even if no hard drive is installed.
