    what's the name of tis part and where do i find a replacement

    earlier this week, some funny guy slammed-closed my notebook (compaq Evo N110)too hard and there is a piece between the screen and the processor (metal, supports the screen) that is now broken in half...
    i don't know how thiw part is called and so i can't find a replacement for it.
    could anyone help me with this?

    maybe its the latch for the screen. can you attach a photograph ??

    Screen and the processor? Processor located inside, how do you know?
    Did you dismantle by yourself?

    i think by processor he meant the bottom part of the laptop.

    Check your service manual from the HP website, it will show the exact part #'s on the photos

    yes, by processor i just meant bottom part of my laptop and i've come to the conclusion that it's actually a hinge i'm looking for but i still can't find any...
