If that CPU is dual core, even at 1.5 GHz it should do fine.

As for RAM, upgrade it to 2 GB.

Some games are more CPU-intensive, some are more RAM-intensive. Depends on what you're playing I guess.

It all depends on the game you are playing, although it is usually low RAM that will slow a game down. But to my knowledge, games like Crysis are very CPU dependable.

if that's a 1.5 dual core cpu, then i'd be worried about upgrading my ram. if it's not dual core, then think about getting a better cpu (which might require a whole new notebook entirely  )

    It depends.
If you don't have enough RAM, your performance will be nonexistent.
With RAM it's an either or thing. Either you have enough RAM, or you don't.
And if you don't, that should be your first priority to upgrade.
On the other hand, if you *do* have enough RAM already, it doesn't matter how much more RAM you install, you won't see the least improvement.

The CPU is just a gradual slope. The faster your CPU, the better, obviously, but there isn't one single cut-off point where you *need* a better CPU. Likewise, no matter how fast your CPU, it'll always be better to get a faster one.

Yes, it is true, and FC also was very CPU intensive. FC and Crysis are usually known as very dependable of processor. However, even in these games it's much more important to have a more RAM memory. I have 1GB and Celeron 2.4Ghz in my desktop and I can run FC without any problems (medium/high settings, with 7600GS graphics). Earlier, before the RAM upgrade, I had only 512MB and I couldn't run FC higher then low/medium settings.
