Supposedly Nehalem is huge thing...so I've decieded to wait for it next year before i buy a laptop. But then after researching westmere is supposed be like the sucessor of Nehalem? and then sand bridge? Anyone know if the jump from Nehalem to like westmere will be significantly big?

im pretty sure Nehalem (first intel mobile quad cores) have not even reached the consumer's hands yet. SOOOO can somebody tell me the point of even asking a question like this. . . . . . Most, if not all, the information you will recieve will be speculation

Waiting for technology is never a good idea unless you're waiting less than a month, IMO. When Nehalem comes out, you'll just be waiting for the next one after that. Get what is here now, it will be fine.

^^^ Thank you. Perfectly said. Not only is your question of no use as of right now, its irrelevant unless you want to wait a good year or two for another lappy. which you might do who knows

Mate, the guy was asking a question because he obviously doesn't know as much as you think you do. Talking to him in public like he's an idiot for asking is just making you lokk like a jerk. Have a bit of respect.

Nehalem might be a bigger jump than others as it will get rid of the FSB and have an on board memory controller (as AMD does now). But the waiting game just does not work as the next gen is always around the corner and always better. Buy when you need not based too much on what is a head. Best of luck.
