I need to find a slot loading (no tray comes out to load dvd or cd) that has dvd-rw dl capabilities and lightscribe capabilities. Anyone know a good quality one, price does not matter.

The Pioneer DVR-K06 is a good option. It can burn DVD-RW's and Dual Layer discs,
I am not sure about Lightscribe.

I own two K06's, if there is a program which can do lightscribe, I can test it out to see if it works for you

I am pretty sure you need lightscribe compatible dvd-r's. And I'm pretty sure nero does it if you have the option. I'm guessing it doesnt feature lightscribe. I dont think a slot loading with lightscribe exists on the entire planet.

it says it will replace any standard 12.7mm drive but not an ultra slim 9.5mm drive. Im thinking it should fit on an alienware m17x as that thing is a beast, what do you think?

I was thinking more how the opening matches up some models dont use rectangular openings, might not look good but will fit alot of laptops.
