Hi I have V5000Z compaq with turion ml-37.
I am planning to upgrade the memory to 2x1GB.
Which brand of memory and model would be the best, I need a reliable memory. It does not have to be a speed demon but I want the ratio price/speed as high as possible for a fair price.
IE I am not willing to pay 150$ for a single 1GB stick

Is there a big improvement in performance between DDR400 over DDR333?
    Thanks.

The only difference you will ee with DDr400 memory will be in benchmarks, some games and programs which need some memory bandwidth. If you are using it for basic stuff, DDR333 or DDR400 does not make any real world difference. Also AMD cpu's are known to prefer DDR400 since they also run at the same speed as the core speed of 200MHz.

Along with OCZ - Crucial, Kingston and Corsair are also pretty good and reliable.
