    Just remember: regardless of what you upgrade and by how much, the slowest part of any computer is the person who's using it. ;)

    Generaly speaking, your best bet for ugrades goes like this:
    1st RAM
    2nd Hard Drive
    3rd CPU

    well i have ati mobility x1440 graphics
    intel core two duel
    1GB of ram

    and i want to use it for gaming

    RAM is probably easiest from the point of view of a first-time upgrade.

    Definitely - more RAM makes Vista happy.
    The Mobility Radeon X1400 may be a bit of a weak point, but that can't be upgraded.
