    hi, i was thinking about upgrading my laptop and i wanted to know which processor is compatible here is my cpu-z results

    any other celeron chip for laptops will most likely work. but u should rly get a core 2 duo now but those use a dif slot and chipset.

    i have a satellite L35-S2174 It's actually discontinued, but i think it still be upgradable

    I don't know how easy it is to get to the processor on that model, but if you can do so fairly easily, you *should* be able to pop a Merom C2D in there such as the T5450 and such.

    But keep in mind, this is all best guess as we don't know the exact chipset, etc on the laptop. His BIOS may not even support it.

    I was checking earlier to make sure I had it right, took a while to track down. I'm still not completely convinced though, but fairly certain.

    actually the BIOS don't bother me, because i think they are on the intel page, so you recomend i get a c2d, ok, but wich specs should match, i'm looking for a processor with at least 2.5 GHz

    Clock speed won't matter too much if you decide to upgrade to c2d. It will already be much more powerful than your celeron.

    2.5 Ghz? You don't really have many options in that range. There's the T7800, the X7800 and X 7900.
