im a hard-core gamer mainly battlefield2 and 2142...i currently have an hp with...
    centrino duo t2250 1.7
    512 (2X256)
    go 7600

i dont know which is going to be better for me
    corsair system select 667 (pc2 5300-5400)
    5-5-5-15
or some thing with lower timming
    like
    2-2-2....
price isnt a huge issue as long as it beefs up my pc so i can take full advantage of the high graphics setting with my 7600

Please show me what RAM you found with timings of 2....It likely isn't compatible with your computer.

Get either 533 or 667 MHz RAM. The speed difference is negligible because the faster memory has a higher latency. Whichever is cheaper will be fine. That you just get more memory is the most important thing.

probibly refering to DDR memory not DDR2. I would suggest some 4-4-4-12 533mhz ram. the 5-5-5-15 667mhz usually cost a little more but gives no performance increase because of the higher latency the higher speed induces.

Agreed. As has been said, 667MHz ram offers very little increase in speed ver 533 due to higher latencies.

ALso, I think 533 would run faster because your cpu's fsb is 533Mhz also, but that could be a myth.

thanks for the help guys ill probly go for the 533 with the lower latency its alot cheaper as well..i figured that would be better because the latency is much lower its better for gaming right?...
