The Super Talent drive is faster (66mb/s to the Samsung's 56/33mb/s according to the specs). Hard to say which one will last longer though... all manufacturers have these claims for millions of writes and millions of hours, but no one's actually tested those claims.

No easy way to answer this one as SSDs are still so new.

If you are using either in a standalone system, as I, and test often as I do, they both will do find. My guess is that the size of these would be terrible if you were to RAID or use them in a server environment because of the increased number of read/writes in that environment.

Even to go with a 16Gb on a standalone is a bit questionable as your OS and software will prob be over 10Gb and you will now leave a few Gb for pagefile/disk caching.

Myself, if I had to choose, I would go with the Super Talent because the company is actively contributing to technological advance of SSDs.

Samsung, on the other hand, seems to have put out their 64Gb and prefers to sell only through manufacturers. Their public relations is absolutely horrible. I tried to contact them a number of times and still have received no responses whatsoever. I was trying to get an angle on the companies ideas with respect to SSDs.

Other companies find and email me to not only provide information, but also to ask my opinion and thoughts with respect to what the consumer seems to be looking for. They just don't seem to be hearing my response (lol)

Unless I am missing something I say no question, Samsung. Why? £113.85 Inc VAT vs £280.10 Inc VAT, you can buy two Samsungs and go out to dinner. Sorry cash is king. ;)

flamenko do remember Samsung is the worlds largest electronics company. The are so large hard to see the small things. Some of your inquiries might be perceived is getting into "trade secret" areas. I would also ask are the other company's headquartered in Asia? Different attitudes and ways of doing business. Just some thoughts, but yea f'em :D
