on the gateay p-6860fx...after i reboot the computer COM+ and another service will stop responding, so ill close them but i can connect to the internet wirelessly afterwards. Network icon shows that its not connected at all. Latency for COD 4 is through the roof at 1800+ ms for even a local server.
Any ideas on what i could do to fix this? its an intel 4965 agn card.

I'd assume that the aforementioned services are the culprit here... being able to connect to a network doesn't necessarily mean that the entire connection process is working. Ever tried restarting those services after they failed? Tried installing the latest 4965 driver?

its the COM+ event system and the SSDP discovery service that stops essentially at system startup if that helps anyone.

c'mon....no ideas from anybody? obviously it has to do with the two services being stopped, but when i restart them, they just stop again.

There could be a variety of factors. I had connection problems with 3 different laptops. Somtimes it can be interference, while other times it could be a faulty wireless card.
