    will we expect to see the next generation Intel laptops to have USB 3 as the stardard?

    Supposedly, but given how X79 turned out despite Intel's lofty promises, I wouldn't hold my breath.

    Frankly, there's no reason for Intel to do more than the bare minimum at this point in time, especially given how they'd rather push Thunderbolt.
