    will i need a new BIOS if i upgrade my procceser?

    ok so i want to update my notebook from AMD Turion 64 MK-36 to X2 TL-60(or what i decide but theyll all be Turion 64s) will i need a new BIOS? and abou the poll im on a budget and if you can recomend different models please do

    I don't think the share the same socket, meaning that they you won't physically be able to upgrade.

    Well, it might no be necessary in your case considering Dell offered the dual core when they first released the laptop. So, the BIOS should be fully capable of recognising the cpu's. But upgrading the BIOS doesnt hurt considering its a free download and Dell might have added support for the 65nm Turions which should be available pretty soon.

    Actually the MK-36 shares the same socket with the dual core Turion X2's.
