i am thinking about upgrading my laptop to a 16/32gb ssd. I have found a
2.5" IDE that uses the pata interface as that is what my laptop supports.
Apart from the 2.5 inch and IDE interface are there any other factors to consider to find out if my laptop will support it? such as 44 pin connections etc.
    thanks

For the most part it may be a simple change, however, you should list what laptop you have so we can assist better.

There have been some laptops that have had problems with specific SSDs in the past; I would advise contacting seeking advise from the laptop manufacturer.
