for the past 2 days I've been trying combinations of settings on my router for better wireless N communicaiton, and I can finally say that for some reason, when the encription is set to Auto WPA/WPA2, the connectoin responds much faster then when set to WPA2 only.

also, when on WPA2 only, the speed drops more often. Both options provide maximum of 144MBit/s connection to my single channel router (should've been 130 but IDK, it goes to 144 on both laptops - T61 and Dell D630).

and it says "choose WPA2 only for performance" in the router setup page, lol.

hope this helps somebody speed up their wireless network :D
