iv about had it now with the current wireless lan i have as it crashes under high bandwidth usage and need some ideas on a express card that rock stable and doesnt give me BSOD all the time.
i used vista premium 32bit since april and upgraded the drivers for it from fujis website and that helped a little but in azureus when it got heavy in the data transferance it crashes a lot but since last week i have upgraded to vista 64 and have it all working, no driver issues as some keep moaning about and the speed i find is better as it seems more responsiveeven in games.
maybe i got lucky but anyway the driver that the 32bit used contains a 64bit one as well and under normal internet downloading its fine but as soon as azureus reaches a certain bandwith it crashes bsod.
i read the forums on fuji website and apparently the wireless internal minicard sucks big time and fuji tech insistedi not remove it...its a sis163u 802.11 b/g and the newest driver is 7th of may 2007 and iv checked out the sis website as fuji wont help out
and their 64bit drivers isnt compatible as in device manager says they arnt working
and funny thing is they are dated jan 2007

so i need a stable wlan that can handle high bandwith without crashing using my new express card slot thats also not too over complicated/hard to set up you now plug and play is what im afterfor vista premium 64.
note...my internet is 20MB cable broadband and thats through a linksys router which i have 4 external hardrive bays connected to so even copying films from them to the laptop after a while causes the crashing due to bandwidth.
and also note it isnt the router it is the sis wlan card as there are loads of people moaning about it causing the same problems with there setups.
money no object.
thanks

If you don't have a BIOS lock I'd recommend getting an Atheros card. That way you use the internal antennas which are better than PCI-E slot which just use the card's internal ones. Not to mention you don't have something sticking out.

cheers m8 ill check it out on their website and see if its supported for vista64
thanks again
oh and by the way what do you mean by bios locked? arnt they interchangable these minicard wlans?? -
I'm not too familiar with Fujitsu.
On HP/Compaq and IBM/Lenovo you can't use "Whitebox" OEM PCI-E cards or cards from other companies other than from HP or IBM and has to be for that model. -

only reason i didnt want to remove it is because the fuji tech insisted i didnt i think for warranty reasons but anyway towards the end of the conversation he hung up on me as i was getting frustrated towards his lack of any help from his part as he said fuji didnt supply support for the wlan and any hardware problems i should consult the manufacturer
great
so if the screen goes see samsung..
if the wlan goes see sis..
hardrives seagate and wester dig..
oh and the gpu nvidia.
total horse crap i say . but as i said after he said all that he hung up saying he was logging off for lunch.
i thought fuji was a one of the better companys
wireless lan a/b/g/ express card?? any ideas??
