The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i am reposting this one as my previous thread didnt get any repliies

    i am getting only 2 bars of range (fair) in network and sharing centre in vista.....even if i am very close to the router (2 ft from it in the same room)......even if i keep the machine too close to the router it shows only this range..........while the dell quick set wireless range shows full range......why is this happening.......is there any remedy for this.....am i really getting full range and it is just some problem with vista ???? my network adapter is Intel pro wireless adapter 3945 abg
