is 9-cell battery worth it for 50 dollars? i won't be moving a lot. i'll be near a power outlet almost 95% of the time i used my laptop. so would a 9-cell battery be necessary for me at the cost of bigger size, heavier weight, and more money?

Your answer is right there. The difference between a 6 cell and a 9 cell is about 1.5 to 2 hours of battery life. If you don't expect to draw out your battery for longer than 3 hours, then you will do just fine with a 6 cell. Spend the extra money on a good mouse or beer.

I would just get the 6-cell if your going to be near and outlet alot. You can always get a 9-cell later on if you need more battery life. They are pretty cheap on newegg.
