on a older emchines e620 for a freind i upgrade the cpu to the 4850e for him and he wanted to upgrade the old g card also to the 5300. with the 5300 the system will only run plugged in??? if i unplug it system does not boot and if i unplug while in windows system freezes and goes black screen. plugged in all works fine. i used the very same 5300 in a test msi i have and the card is working perfectly fine...

i know its down to the card if i try to boot on battery with the card in its a no go. i can unplug the card turn back on and boots straight to windows..

also note this was with AND without any drivers installed it did this before even getting to install the drivers which i did while plugged in later to see if that was the problem i upgraded and removed etc...

What does "not boot" mean.. You can get to POST, or windows crashes during loading, or it doesn't even power up, etc..?

sorry.... its goes to the blue welcome screen then locks and screen goes black, this is with and without any drivers installed even on a fresh installation without anything added yet. and a installation WITHOUT the 5300 installed. so i know for sure no drivers had been installed yet.. so i know its not a driver issue
