    I do not think you can low level format outside of DOS. There shouldn't be a need for it, you can do a standard format and that will suffice

    I read somewhere that its a good idea to do it on SSD before reinstalling OS....

    i tried to use it on my t61... but it kept saying that it can't perform the erase.... i forgot the exact error. i may try again later.

    but u know what i dont understand ? won't this erase the wear leveling information as well ?
