    Hi all,

I got a Lenovo Y570 with a Toshiba 64GB SSD preinstalled using their RapidDrive storage technology. For those who don't know, this is Lenovo's intelligent sorter that shows the user (in Windows) a single combined drive, and in the backend "intelligently" sorts which things should go on the SSD and which should go on the HD.

So, I made a recovery (in case), then reformatted using my own Win7 install disk. Problem is, the installer can't find the SSD drive, and the HD is non-writable for no apparent reason.

    Any thoughts?

I think the problem has been resolved by removing the spinning hard drive. Over in the Lenovo topics in NBR. OP please confirm.
