Has anyone ever bothered to see if it was possible to swap out the motherboard in the zv5000 series in order to get the better video performance of the zv6000? I know the enclosures for the zv6000 and zv5000 look almost identical but I'd be really interested to know if they changed their mounting pattern/component placement.

    For reference I have a zv5410.

    Thanks.

You are probably better off just selling your notebook and getting one with a better GPU.

Yeah, I agree with zazonz. I dont think its even possible. Even if it is feasable, then the upgrade will be expensive as these motherboards are not cheap. You will also have to change the cpu along with the motherboard as the zv5000 series used a skt 754 A64 compared to the skt 939 used in the zv6000 series.
